That's incredible news! Very Happy

Yet at the same time makes me feel ashamed about how their films are treated by the copyright holders in the States.... Embarassed

In 1996, I spent 5 months in India backpacking. I was in the north of the country in a place called Vashisht in Manali (the lesser Himalayas) for about four weeks. In a small building off a side road there was a small cinema projection screen and twice a week they would show a couple of L&H shorts. The small room would seat about 20-30 people and many more standing. The great thing was, you had to get there early as it really got packed out for L&H.

What was interesting is they played newer films at other times like Seven, Apollo 13, Braveheart, etc and only a handful of travelers and backpackers attended, whereas the building would be packed out by locals for the L&H films and hardly a backpacker in sight.

The building would be so noisy with laughter from the locals and it was such a great atmosphere, everybody chatting about the film afterwards and as I was the only white westerner watching the L&H films, I would often be nicknamed 'Stan'!

Great memories Smile
