LAUREL AND HARDY FORUM MEMBERS MUSICAL TRIBUTE TO THE BOYS

How would you like to appear on a unique musical tribute to Laurel and Hardy CD? If any of you have recording facilities and are able to record a Laurel and Hardy related song or instrumental version of a song/tune on your chosen musical intrument you are just what we are looking for. If singing a song you can use a backing track which I can try and provide for you (just say which one you would like) or you can do your own backing. This project will involve some discussion between the contributors but if you would like to be involved and find out more... simply say so in this thread.

Tell us what song you would like to do and whether it will be an intrumental or have vocals. The best 18 songs submitted will go on a finished cd and everyone who enters will receive a copy.

I think I might be able to do the theme tune on the piano. I have put it on youtube if you want to see it. Click Here

James that's very good and i would definately want to include that on that the cd. I realise you confess to a couple of mistakes but if you want to re-record it for the CD that would be great - as an mp3 perhaps?

I'm actually a singer & pretty good at impressions. I may be able to pull off "The Trail of the Lonesome Pine" with all parts.

It all sounds good to me Smile

Duets would be good too. Once we have enough interested I will arrange for us to have a little online meeting and go over the options with you all.

Ross,

I'll pitch in an all-electric guitar version of one of the Shield tunes. Let me listen to my L&H music CDs and get back to you with the track I've chosen to cover.

Bernie

Okay, well…I think "Bells" has some potential, so I'll rock that one up a little and give it a try.
