Were Laurel and Hardy ever invited to make their handprints in cement at Graumann's Theatre in Hollywood? I just scanned through a list of several celebrities that have their handprints there, but couldn't find Stan or Babe listed. If they did, it would be great to see any photos from this event.

They were not. But they did do a radio interview there in 1930 for promotion of The Rogue Song along with Lawrence Tibbett. At the time, they were standing on top of the prints (and drawing of eyeglasses) of Harold Lloyd.

I was looking for them myself when we visited Hollywood in May, and couldn't see them

Stan answers this question himself (with a joke, of course) in a letter dated November 18, 1958 at LettersFromStan.com:

"Yes, I've been to Grauman's Chinese theatre many times, Babe & I also appeared in an act on the stage there one night, the reason we did'nt [sic] sign our names in cement was, we were never asked - (they probably saw our act.!!)"

Very Happy

Bernie

I wonder if that Rogue Song premier radio interview still exists? It would be interesting to hear.
