    Del Kempster writes...

It is with great sadness that I have to tell you that our good friend Happy Harry passed away yesterday afternoon.

Harry's funeral will take place on Monday 2nd July at 3 p.m. at Ulverston Parish Church. He will then be laid to rest in Ulverston Cemetery.

Condolences etc. can be sent to Harry's old address:

    63 Limetree Road

Alan said his dad did not suffer any great pain, he just slipped away at the age of 92.

    R.I.P. Harry.

This is very sad news. I met Happy Harry many times and he certainly deserved his name! The Sons have lost one of our most colourful characters and a really nice guy. As somebody once said: "We'll never see his like again."

Rest In Peace Harry, I'm sure he'd echo Stan's sentiments:
"If any of you cry at my funeral, I'll never speak to you again!"

You will always be remembered with great fondness by all those who knew you.

I didn't know Harry, but it sounds as if he was a great man. May he meet Stan and Ollie in heaven.

It's always sad to lose a good, positive guy like Harry Ingle. I wish that I could have known him. He left a lot of good memories with a lot of people. God bless him.
Ollie: "You have to get up pretty early in the morning to fool a Hardy."
Stan: "What time?"

I first met Harry over thirty years ago, when he was the very enthusiastic Vice Sheik of the new Berth Marks Tent in Ulverston. We met and chatted many times after that and I always liked this man who was proud to belong to Ulverston and to share his love of Stan and Ollie. Sadly missed.

This is such sad news! There's a reason he was called "Happy Harry", and that was because it fit him perfectly! I first met Harry at the Valley Forge convention, and it seemed like if he wasn't the conventioneer having the most fun, he was awfully close to it! We're going to miss him at future cons. God bless you, Harry. :(

Flowers can be sent to:

Little & Caine, Funeral Directors, Eden House, Neville St, Ulverston, Cumbria LA12 0BJ.

TEL: 01229 586970.

If you use the local florist, it will save money because they will not charge delivery. I used:

Dodds Florist, 2-4 Brogden Street, Ulverston Cumbria, LA12 7AH

EMAIL: doddsflorist@aol.com. TEL: 01229 588000.

Alan wants to have a headstone on Harry’s grave and you are invited to contribute to that instead of sending flowers if you wish. Send to Alan Ingle, 6 Princewood Drive, Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria LA13 0RX. Phone 01229 838868
