Excellent news everyone! Lois just called me and told me she received a special suprise package this morning. She knew I was the culprit Laughing . The letter from the company said courtesy of the Universal Studios, Lucy Southward and The Laurel and Hardy Forum. She thought it was so nice of us to send it.
I told her of our original plans to raise the money and she said she would have felt awful if we did that. Wink I told her she can enjoy watching them for many hours now. She couldn't thank me enough but I said it was a joint effort. Thanks to everybody on the forum with love from Lois !! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy To a very, very special lady !!!!!

Thats great news, and quick delivery too! I'm sure she'll be up to all hours now exploring the box set, I don't think I slept for three days when I got mine. I'm glad theres a happy ending to this story, as Lucy said Lois is a very special lady and I hope the dvd's bring her many hours of enjoyment for years to come.

You have done an excellent job, Lucy and those who first suggested this great idea.
Lois will certainly enjoy the set and take a keen interest in the presentation of the films there.
Indeed, in 1986 she was actively promoting the colorized version of
Way Out West, noting that it was an improvement over
Helpmates.
Now she will have an opportunity to view all the films easily at her leisure.
Three cheers for Lucy and company! Very Happy

Mike

I wonder what she thinks of the newly colorized version of BABES IN TOYLAND. That is, if she has seen it.

Lois is very appreciative of the DVD's that Universal sent to her (as a result of Lucy's and the Forum's initiative) and allowed me to snap the photo below during a visit with her last Saturday. I just spoke to her this evening and she told me that she had just finished watching Brats with the restored original soundtrack for the first time.

She's quite a charmer! Razz
