Okay, well this isn't really Laurel and Hardy so it's off topic. But proceeds all help to go towards finishing my documentary so it almost counts Laughing

Here you can learn about my hand built puppets. They'll only be available for one week. Thanks all! See ya around Wink

Nice Mike, he looks so cuddley, which is always a good sign if I'm getting that impression from a photo alone.

He's so cute- he reminds me of the dog who plays the piano in the Muppets- you'll know his name Mike. Wink

Did he Shocked

(My favourite Muppets moment was when Whoopi Goldberg sang Bob Marley's 'No Woman No Cry' with some Mexican (I think) rats, and they keep getting the tempo wrong. Has me in stitches everytime. Perhaps we should start a Muppets thread in honour of Mike?)

That's the one.....very funny. It was the way Whoopi kept grabbing one of 'em by the nose and putting the fear of god into him if he didn't get it right....and then....he he he!

Laurel and Hardy and Jim Henson.
Wow, the boys would have been wonderful on The Muppet Show!
I like to think that Stan saw quite a few of the earlier TV spots that Jim did in the early 1960's. In fact it's quite likely that he did, especially watching a lot of the variety shows at that time. It's a nice link.

A lot of the Muppet guys are big Laurel and Hardy fans too so there's no doubt that there has been some influences.

...come easy-go easy!!! Laughing

Oh yes....can you imagine the conversation between Stan & Kermit? Or Babe's frustration with Fozzy, or Gonzo? Or best of all, Fin with Stadler & Waldorf???

I wish Jerry Juhl the head writer (Huge L&H fan) were still with us... He could have written a great "spec" script!!! Laughing

Hey, I'll bet he and Jim and the boys are working on a collaboration up there as we speak! Very Happy

Stan and Ollie assisting Bunson and Beaker in the Muppet Labs, with Stan taking the beaker role and helping him with his cry.

Stan and Ollie carrying that famous piano to the tune of 'Halfway Up The Stairs' by Robin.
