Just wondering how often everyone watches the Boys?. My rule of thumb is that I will watch at least one of their films each week. My 4 year old daughter has now requested that she watches one of the Boys films in bed each night so I set my laptop up on her bed and I join her for a short film or 2. She loves The Chimp and Brats in particular and it's quite funny to see her going over to the DVD rack to select a film to watch bearing in mind she's only 4!! My 2 sons also love the Boys so it's nice for me to know I am passing on some good habits to the kids Smile

Thanks for sharing that cute example of the Boys' continuing popularity with kids. My oldest daughter, when she was only 2, took our videocassette of Liberty or Hog Wild off of the shelf a couple of times when I came home from work and brought it to me when I was seated at the table, saying, "Ollie Stanley! Ollie Stanley!" Another time, when I asked her if she wanted to watch anything on TV, she said "Stanley Ollie! Stanley Ollie!". Our kids don't act quite so enthusiastic about L+H now, but they always like to see them.

Every Saturday and Sunday morning I brew a pot of espresso, add some tasty hazelnut or French vanilla creamer, sit in front of the TV and watch Laurel and Hardy for a couple of hours. A nice way to start the day.

Once in a while I'll watch them during the weekdays too.

I tend to watch them at night-time, when my parents have gone to bed. I sit there with a cup of tea, my supper and my drawings in front of me- (I do a lot of drawing at night-time Wink ) and I sit there and watch a couple of their films. Smile

i tend to occasionally have a L & H week. Few weeks ago now but i got home from work and watched 2 aday and 4 on my day off. So my 'fix' kept me goin. I have to admit i watch the same ones over (memories from watchin on BBC as a kid - when H's Lloyd/Langdon and Keystone cops used to be shown all the time and loved em all). i have very few silents and much prefer the talkies i have to say. whichever video is first on the rack goes in.

I have a portable DVD player for my truck, and I have the 21 dvd boxset. A few pints, a kebab, and a jolly good laugh on a cold & lonely truckstop somewhere!

Just for a minute there I had a vision of Idle All - driving along the motorway, one eye on the road, one eye on the DVD player, one hand on the steering whee,l a kebab in the other hand - until he ruined that vision with the truckstop bit........ Smile

The great thing about Laurel and Hardy is you really only need 20 minutes spare to watch one of their shorts.

I tend to watch a short just before I'm going to bed or one of the features at any time really. One thing I definitely do though, is seek out one of my favourite Laurel and Hardy films if I'm feeling a bit down in the dumps........

..... they never fail to make me feel better about myself or about life really! Surprised
