Saturday 3rd September 2005.

No advance tickets but you can reserve a place by e-mailing
chris.coffey@merseymail.com because admission may be limited.

Admission is 6 (half price for people under 16 but they must be
accompanied by an adult.

Doors will open at one p.m. and the Laurel and Hardy related activities and
films will last till 8pm. After that, our resident M.C. Ian Parker will be
providing the evening's musical entertainment because he is a drummer in a
gigging band, and they will be there to entertain.

The Star Attraction this year will be the attendance of Denise Carter and
Linda Caldwell from the Oliver Hardy Museum in Ollie's home town of Harlem,
Georgia. They will be providing the Scholarly Overtones by giving a talk
about the Hardy Family history in Georgia. As they are hosting the 2006
International Convention in Augusta/Harlem, they will also be promoting
that. They will be the first Americans to visit a HarDay.

Past attendees have come from Belgium and Germany, but we now hear that
several Dutch Sons are also hoping to attend.
The Quiz for the Bacon Grabbers Trophy had to be postponed last year, but
David Wyatt still has the questions.

Will Denise from the Hats Off Tent in Derby win the World Earsy, Kneesy,
Nosey Championship for a record third consecutive year?

Hot food will be available from 1pm to 7pm. Sounds definite but I lie
easily.

Chris is delighted to announce that Jean Darling has accepted his invitation to be a special guest at this year's Annual Laurel and HarDAY. With the appearance of Denise and Linda from the Oliver Hardy Museum in Harlem, Georgia, this year's event is going to be a little bit special. Bram from Holland is coming, an organiser of European Conventions and editor of Blotto Online.

I can't wait to meet Jean.
Neil is it yourself who will be looking after her during her time at the Harday?

You-al are in for a real treat with Denise Carter and Linda Caldwell of Harlem, Georgia USA as they share about our hero in Georgia.

These ladies will then have much to share about the Laurel & HarDays with the Sons that attend the up coming 17th. annual Oliver Hardy Festival of 1 October 2005 with the SOD Reception on the Friday befor the Festival.

Last year the October Berth Marks Tent Meeting was held Saturday evening of the Festival at BJ Deli. and then we walked to the Museum and BABE's BIJOU for More L&H on the Silver Screen.

Many of you will remember Linda during the Dedication of the L&H Museum as a part of the 2002 SOD Int. Convention.

You will find Denise at the Museum.
