At first glance, yes... but... nearly every subject is covered ( dormant threads a couple of years can be brought back to life) and the administrators are excellent at pointing you in the right direction. People here are friendly and, it's really nice to have a forum like this available. l have a lifetime of L&H in me and it's really nice to go where people understand.

Regarding the 2 categories themed from Our Relations. The category names are not that important really. It's the content that matters and the category names we have chosen (after long thought) seem to fit the topics well in my opinion.

I think "Denker's Beer Garden" should be called "The Rainbow Club" or summat so that another film's referenced in the categories instead of the same film being referenced twice. Or, by the same token, "Come Home Nanny. All Is Forgiven" instead of "The Periwinkle Gazette" Razz

I like the idea of The Rainbow Club. Either that or Mickey Finn's Saloon. Or you could have The Rainbow Club and The Brushwood Gulch Gazette.

They are good suggestions but I think to change category names after all this time would be a mistake.

What you can do, and perhaps many of you don't realise you can do this is...

you can HIDE categories.

For example: If you only want to view the Blue Ridge Mountains categories and hide the others, just click where it says Blue Ridge Mountains in the main forum. (see image below).

Same if you only want to view the Multimedia categories and hide the rest - click it. Simple!

I never knew that. I like the visual displays you did there, but I prefer to see everything together on the Index page. That way, I can scroll down and see all the catagories. Since that main page went down (and I'm glad that it's up and running again), I've rediscovered how handy the Index page is. For example, when a topic has multiple pages, one can go directly to the last page and read the latest posts. In general, everything seems to be all right on the Forum.

Re: similar threads, we try to catch the ones we can, but if others are brought to our attention we can look at merging those too.

A while ago I started a thread "Opps: Continiuty Lapses", to discuss accidental slip-ups in the films. It became a sticky. Now there's a new thread "Laurel and Hardy Blunders" which covers the same ground. Could these be merged?

ok it's done Very Happy

It seems there were 3 or 4 threads on the topic of continuity/blunders. I had already merged them - didn't spot yours, probably because it was a sticky.

The topics have all been merged to - http://laurelandhardyforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1773

This topic of Blunders/Continuity Lapses is one which i plan to include in our forthcoming magazine, which is rapidly turning into a book by the way. Since it's going to be an annual maybe a book would be a better idea anyway..

Thanks again, Ross. I think I'll have to have a rubber stamp made of that phrase!
