Those were up for sale for a time to raise money for the statue. Don't know how many were sold but I know some people who own one.
But of course it still could be the original prototype that was presented to Ken or as john-Bogie says perhaps there are some differences to the other replicas around.
Eric should know...

Mae: "I don't care if you burn up!"

same here. I couldn't be there, I wished could, and I thank everyone for the photos and the footage. I saw that video and there were so many people and I thought "oh golly will you look at that crowd!", then the statue was unveiled, the band started playing and I shed a tear, thinking of our Boys. If only they could be alive to see this...

there, that's me going sentimental again...

It really was a very touching moment to see the statue being unveiled.

More footage from the day including interviews here - viewtopic.php?f=39&t=11565&start=0

I assure you Leonardo there were quite a few with tears in their eyes , I wished Bill Cubin could have been there to see that it would have been a dream come treu , on the brighter side , his wife Lucy and daughter Marion were there to see it

I've seen what is written online but these good old clippings...

Here you go Kay from The North-West Evening Mail from Monday April 20, 2009. On the day of the Statue they had a special 8 page pull out, but I'll scan that another time I am too lazy :D

I don't know if this has been said before, although I think I've checked out all the posts, shouldn't we make a HUGE tip of our derbies to ERIC WOODS, whose tireless efforts to bring this about have spanned several years now. Surely the Sons of the Desert salute you. sir!

Couldnt agree more mate....as a member of Eric's Come Clean tent I am very grateful for the work Eric did to make Bill Cubin's dream a reality.

Maybe someone should start a new thread like

"Eric Woods: The Boys fans Salute you for the statue, Hats off!!"

so we can all thank him there?
